Steps to make Magical Banlan (Unpigmented) Glutinous Rice Brown
- 1. Choose a clean and mold free palm leaf.
- Wash the white glutinous rice and soak it in pure water overnight, then change to clean water.
- 3. Red glutinous rice was bought in the morning market (by chance), and I had previously bought Yunnan colored glutinous rice online. Wash and soak as described above.
- 4. Purple glutinous rice as described above.
- 5. Choose slightly harder dates, wash and set aside.
- 6. Boil open the water in the pot, add dry brown cotyledons, and cook for half an hour until fully cooked. Rinse repeatedly and set aside for later use
- 7. I used different types of rice, including pure red, pure purple, and various mixed colors, all of which were wrapped randomly and tied with white string. I cut off excess leaf edges to make them neat and beautiful.
- 8. Place the brown seeds in the pot.
- 9. Add water to the pot and bring to a boil for 5-10 minutes. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 50 minutes, then let it simmer overnight.
- 10. Pre cooked brown seeds.
- 11. Remove the brown cotyledons, and the colorful glutinous brown cotyledons shine brightly.
- 12. Cut it open and look at it. Various colors of glutinous rice, honey dates, and large kidney beans are embedded in it, which is incredibly beautiful.
- 13. Taste its pure flavor, soft and sweet.
