Steps to make Potted Tofu

  • 1. Cut the tofu into pieces, marinate it with salt for a while, and then spread it flat on a plate sprinkled with dry starch.
  • After laying, sprinkle a layer of dry powder on the surface and spread evenly. Then beat an egg to prepare the egg mixture.
  • 3. Heat up the tofu in an oil pan, cover it with egg mixture, and deep fry until golden brown. Fish out.
  • 4. Start another oil pot, add ginger and scallions until fragrant, then add the fried tofu. Pour in the sauce made with oyster sauce, light soy sauce, black pepper, and sugar, and a small bowl of water to cover the tofu. Let the soup slightly dry and drizzle with sesame oil.
  • 5. Plate and sprinkle with scallions.
