Steps to make Curry beef zongzi

  • 1. Put the zongzi leaves in boiling water and blanch until soft. Remove and rinse with clean water for later use
  • 2. Use scissors to cut off the front part with a diameter
  • 3. Wash and cut the beef into square cubes, add soy sauce, cooking wine, seafood sauce, salt, and curry powder, and marinate with a little starch for 3 hours for later use
  • 4. Soak glutinous rice in clean water for 3-4 hours, then remove and wash to dry. Add an appropriate amount of light soy sauce, salt, and olive oil, stir well, and set aside for later use
  • 5. Roll the processed leaves into a funnel shape and add a little sticky rice
  • 6. Put the marinated beef into it
  • 7. Cover with another layer of glutinous rice and evenly cover the beef
  • 8. Fold the zongzi leaves in one direction and completely wrap the glutinous rice
  • 9. Fold it back into a triangular shape and try to pinch the stable shape with your own fingers
  • 10. Bundle firmly with cotton thread
  • 11. Complete the remaining glutinous rice using the above method
  • 12. Fill the wrapped Zongzi with water and put it into the pot to boil for 2-3 hours
