    Steps to make Colored crystal zongzi

    • 1. Soak the white sago and filter out excess water. Colored sago is wet and does not require water.
    • 2. Rinse the zongzi leaves thoroughly and let go of the water. Heat for one minute to disinfect.
    • 3. Fold two zongzi leaves together into a funnel shape and fill them with filling.
    • 4. Wrap tightly with cotton thread.
    • 5. Steam in a steamer for one hour, then turn off the heat and let it sit for another half hour.
    • 6. After refrigeration or cold water, the zongzi leaves are easily peeled off.
