Yesterday I went to the supermarket, and rice dumpling sold very well. The final promotion is buy one get one free. I was tempted, but I thought I would be lazy and buy two bags instead. As soon as I looked at the ingredient list, I decisively put it down. Buy a bag of black sesame seeds and a bag of glutinous rice flour. Last year, the Yuanxiao (Filled round balls made of glutinous rice-flour for Lantern Festival) included black sesame quicksand stuffing and peanut butter walnut stuffing, both of which made rice dumpling very delicious. To achieve the effect of flowing sand on black sesame seeds, adding more sugar and lard in proportion can make it feel guilty to eat. This year, health is still the main focus, greatly reducing the amount of lard and replacing white sugar with some honey. The sweetness is just right, the taste is sweet but not greasy, and there is no burden when eating 6-7. Zero additives, or homemade food that feels comfortable to eat.
