Steps to make glutinous rice dumpling filled with meat

  • 1. Cut lean meat into pieces in advance, use dark soy sauce, oyster sauce, and salt.
  • 2. Mix well and marinate for at least four hours for later use.
  • 3. Blanch the fresh leaves for one minute, then cool them down after they change color, clean them, and boil the straw rope for binding Zongzi for more time.
  • 4. Wash glutinous rice several times and control the water.
  • 5. Add a spoonful of dark soy sauce and a small amount of salt.
  • 6. Mix evenly.
  • Twist a little over one-third of the leaves into a funnel-shaped shape.
  • 8. Add a spoonful of rice and a piece of meat.
  • 9. Add another spoonful of rice.
  • 10. Shake the rice to make it firmer, then close the mouth.
  • 11. Fold the excess leaves into a corner.
  • 12. Binding completed.
  • 13. Put enough water into the wrapped Zongzi to soak for about half an hour, let the rice absorb enough water and then boil.
  • After the pressure cooker is heated, reduce the heat and cook slowly for at least two hours.
