Steps to make Old style mooncakes with five kernels and refined milk

  • 1. Add 600g of white sugar to 300g of water and 2-3 slices of lemon slices. Bring to a boil over high heat until the sugar dissolves to make syrup. Remove from the pot and let it cool for later use
  • 2. Grind the peanut kernels and mix them evenly with other fillings

  • Mix 5.340g of soy milk, 50g of honey, and peanut oil evenly, then pour in flour and stir
  • 6. Mix well and knead into a dough. Relax for 2 hours and set aside for later use
  • 7. Divide the loose dough into small agents
  • 8. Press into a cake by hand
  • 9. Wrap in filling
  • 10. Put the packaged mooncakes into the mooncake mold and print their favorite patterns
  • 11. Spray a layer of water evenly on the surface into the oven. The temperature and time depend on your own oven. Since the oven I am using is simple and does not require a set temperature, I can only observe it at any time, about 20 minutes
  • 12. Appreciation of finished products, this is done with egg liquid and always unevenly brushed.
