Glutinous Rice Seaweed Roll

Steps to make Glutinous Rice Seaweed Roll

  • 1. Prepare the required materials.
  • 2. Soak glutinous rice for 2 hours in advance.
  • 3. Wash the soaked glutinous rice, drain the water, cover the pot with gauze, and steam the glutinous rice until cooked. (Approximately 20 minutes)
  • 4. Take out the steamed glutinous rice and beat it up for later use.
  • 5. Dissolve the yeast in warm water and let it stand for 5 minutes.
  • 6. Add granulated sugar to the flour and then pour in yeast.
  • 7. Mix into a flocculent shape.
  • 8. Pour into the bread machine and knead for 15 minutes.
  • After kneading into a smooth dough, take it out and cover it with plastic wrap for room temperature fermentation.
  • 10. Wash and chop fresh corn into grains, and cut carrots into small cubes.
  • 11. Add corn and carrots to the steamed glutinous rice.
  • 12. Add salt, vegetable oil, and chicken essence.
  • 13. Add pepper powder again.
  • 14. Mix the glutinous rice filling evenly.
  • 15. Take a piece of seaweed and lay it flat, then spread glutinous rice filling on top.
  • 16. Roll it into a cylindrical shape.
  • 17. The dough is fermented to twice its original size.
  • 18. Take out the dough and knead it evenly to release air, then divide it into four pieces.
  • 19. Take a small dough and roll it into long pieces, then put it into a seaweed and glutinous rice roll.
  • 20. Then roll it up and pinch both sides tightly.
  • 21. Steam and let it rise for 15 minutes.
  • 22. Steam over high heat again and remove and cut into sections.
