Steps to make Laba Congee

  • 1. Choose 20g of red beans, mung beans, soybeans, lotus seeds, and peanuts each. Make sure to soak them overnight in advance to create a soft and sticky texture
  • 2. Take 20g each of rice, millet, and Job's tears, 50g glutinous rice, wash thoroughly, and soak for ten minutes.
  • 3. Take four or five red dates. I usually go nuclear, which makes the taste better.
  • 4. Pour 2 liters of water into the pot and bring to a boil. Add various beans and cook over high heat for 20 minutes.
  • 5. Add various grains and ingredients such as chestnuts, red dates, lotus seeds, longan, yam, lilies, etc. Boil on low heat for about an hour, remember to use low heat! The nutritious Laba Congee with sweet, warm and glutinous taste will be cooked.
