In my memory, every Mid Autumn Festival, my mother would bring back mooncakes worth around 100 yuan, because at that time, my mother worked in the grain department and would receive many delicious mooncakes processed by her own unit every Mid Autumn Festival. My sister and I would eat for a long time, and in the end, only the filling was left, and only the skin was eaten. This time, I made some mooncakes for myself to celebrate the Mid Autumn Festival and experience the joy of making mooncakes all at once.

Steps to make Wuren Mooncake
- 1. Add water to the syrup and stir until well mixed. Add peanut oil to the mixed syrup, stir well, and pour in flour and milk powder
- 2. Knead the dough and wrap it with plastic wrap to let it sit for 1 hour
- 3. Cut ripe peanuts, almonds, and cashews into small pieces with a knife, or put them in a plastic bag and crush them with a rolling pin
- 4. Add white sugar
- 5. Add corn oil, ripe melon seeds, ripe black and white sesame seeds, raisins, and add rose sauce
- 6. Pour in the cooked glutinous Rice noodles, cold boiled water, and form a ball

- 8. Take 50 grams of Wuren filling and knead it into a round ball
- 9. 30 grams of dough per piece
- 10. Take a pastry dough and flatten it on your palm
- 11. Place the five kernel filling in the middle of the dough
- 12. Use both hands to slowly push up the pastry and wrap it around the filling of the five nuts. Try to make the pastry as thick and even as possible, without exposing the filling

- 14. Brush a thin layer of oil in the mold and place the round ball dough into the mooncake mold
- 15. Press out the mooncake pattern, lift the mooncake mold, and that's it. Spray some water on the surface of the mooncake, put it in a preheated oven at 200 degrees Celsius and bake it for about 5 minutes. After the mooncake pattern is set, take it out and brush it with egg mixture on the surface. Then put it in the oven, and the cake skin will be evenly colored. It will take about 20 minutes to bake
