    Steps to make Shaanxi snack - steamed cake

    • Wash the glutinous rice and soak it for about 4 hours. You can crush it with your hands.
    • 2. Wash the red dates and soak them until swollen.
    • 3. Take a deeper container and put a layer of honey beans first (if you don't like honey beans, you can use swollen red kidney beans or red dates).
    • 4. Spread a layer of glutinous rice on the honey beans.
    • 5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until the container is 9 minutes full. Break open the red dates and neatly place them on top of the glutinous rice.
    • 6. Add an appropriate amount of cold water.
    • 7. The amount of water should not exceed half of the red dates.
    • 8. Put it into an electric pressure cooker and steam it by pressing the "beans, tendons" button.
