Steps to make Black rice and red jujube Zongzi
- 1. Clean the glutinous rice and soak it in clean water for 4 hours. Wash the black rice and soak it in clean water. Pour out the water before wrapping Zongzi, and mix the two kinds of rice evenly.
- 2. Wash the red dates thoroughly and soak them in advance.
- 3. Put the dried zongzi leaves into a pot, boil in water for 5 minutes, stew for 30 minutes, cut off the head and tail of the zongzi leaves for easy wrapping.
- 4. Cross the two ends of the zongzi leaves to form a funnel shape, without any gaps at the bottom.
- 5. Put glutinous rice and red dates into zongzi leaves, press them tightly with a spoon, cover the glutinous rice with the zongzi leaves forward, and wrap them on the side as well.
