Steps to make Peanut shaped mooncakes
- 1. First, stir the syrup and water evenly, then add edible oil (preferably not soybean oil) and stir evenly.
- 2. Add medium gluten flour and stir until fluffy.
- 3. Cover or film the dough and let it sit for 1 hour.
- 4. Prepare the black sesame filling and divide it into equal portions (2 of which were made with leftover bean paste filling from just making bread), and knead them into balls.
- 5. Divide the dough into 12 equal parts and knead them into a ball.
- 6. Wrap one of the dough ingredients into the black sesame filling and seal it downwards, knead it into a ball, then knead it into small strips, place it in the mold, compact it, and snap it out.
- 7. Completed peanut filled mooncake blanks.
- Preheat the oven for 5 to 10 minutes, heat it up to 180 degrees and down to 160 degrees, and burn it for 18 to 20 minutes.
- 9. The finished peanut shaped mooncakes will look better and taste delicious after being baked and left to oil for 1 to 2 days.
