Steps to make Fried Bun with Cowpea and Pork Filling
- 1. Blanch the cowpeas and stir until fine. Mix them with minced meat, scallions, garlic puree, salt, soy sauce, and oyster sauce to form a filling.
- 2. Mix flour and yeast well, add water and make a smooth dough. Cover with plastic wrap and let it ferment in a warm place.
- 3. Take out the dough and place it on the cutting board, knead it to release air, and take small doses separately.
- 4. Press it flat and roll it into a circle with a thick center and thin edges.
- 5. Add cowpea meat filling.
- 6. Wrap it into small buns, cover them with cling film, and let it sit for 20 minutes.
- 7. Brush oil in a pan and fry the bottom of the buns until golden brown.
- 8. Add water to half the height of the buns, cover and cook until the water is dry.
- 9. Sprinkle in scallions.
