Steps to make Rose Date Mud Mooncake

  • 1. The seedless Xinjiang grey dates I used were washed and steamed in a cage for 20 minutes, then crushed with a cooking stick
  • 2. Because there is no water in the dates, the stirring will be slower, so be patient and beat them
  • 3. Until all the dates are crushed into mud. I like something with a slightly grainy texture, so I can stir it a little lighter. I didn't type it too carefully
  • 4. Pour the mixed jujube paste into the pot, add butter and stir fry for a while to add some milk flavor.
  • 5. As long as the butter melts, there is no need to stir fry for a long time, as the jujube paste produced by this method is already very dry
  • 6. Homemade rose sauce. Only use thick ones without the sugar juice underneath to avoid affecting the hardness of the jujube paste
  • 7. After letting the jujube paste cool, add rose sauce so that the fragrance of the roses does not evaporate and be lost
  • 8. Mix evenly for later use
  • 9. Put the conversion syrup, oil, and water together in a basin,

  • 12. Mix dough and cover with plastic wrap for at least one hour
