Steps to make Wuhan Snacks - Hollow Ma Yuan
- 1. Pour in the melted sugar water and knead the dough while pouring. (Water needs to be added bit by bit)
- 2. Knead until it forms.
- 3. Make small rice dumpling and dip it evenly with white sesame seeds.
- 4. Rub the sesame seeds one by one with your hands and squeeze them into the dough. (Sesame seeds are not easily dropped during frying)
- 5. Pour oil into the pot and simmer over low heat until 30% hot, then add the dough.
- 6. Stir the oil continuously with a spoon over low heat.
- After about 2 minutes, the dough will automatically float up.
- 8. Gently press the dough with a spoon and release it. (When pressing the dough, keep the pot off the heat)
- 9. Put the pressed hemp balls on the stove (be sure to pay attention to the heat)
