Steps to make Blueberry milk bun

  • 1. 250g high flour, 45g sugar, 3g salt, 110g milk, 25g egg mixture, 20g butter (or 18g vegetable oil), 3-5 g dry yeast, appropriate amount of blueberry jam
  • 2. Rub all ingredients except butter until the dough reaches the expansion stage, and spread out a thin film that is not easily broken
  • 3. Fermentation for 40 minutes to 2-2.5 times the size, dipping in flour to poke holes without immediately rebounding or shrinking is considered good
  • 4. Exhaust the dough, divide it into 8 equal parts and roll them round. Cover with plastic wrap and let it rest for about 10-15 minutes
  • 5. Take a piece and roll it into an oval shape, then roll it into a long strip shape.
  • 6. After rolling everything up, place it in a baking tray and put a pot of hot water in the oven. Let it ferment for 40 minutes to double its size
  • 7. Brush egg mixture, squeeze blueberry jam, and drizzle salad dressing for decoration
  • Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius for 15-20 minutes until the surface turns golden brown
