Steps to make Bean Paste Pumpkin Bun

  • 1. Steam the pumpkin and knead it into a paste.
  • 2. Add proper amount of glutinous rice flour into pumpkin puree and stir.
  • 3. Knead it into a smooth dough by hand, cover it with a lid and let it sit for a while for later use.
  • 4. Roll the bean paste into small balls and set them aside.
  • 5. Take a small amount of pumpkin dough and knead it into cocoa powder.
  • After kneading evenly, obtain a cocoa colored dough.
  • 7. Take a piece of pumpkin dough, knead it into a round shape and flatten it, then add bean paste filling.
  • 8. Wrap the dough around the filling and push it towards the center.
  • 9. Close the mouth tightly.
  • 10. Slightly round and shape, place with the mouth facing downwards.
  • 11. Make a small hole at the top.
  • 12. Take some cocoa colored dough and knead it into a pumpkin. Insert it into a small hole.
