My friend Wan Shanhong recommended me a kind of glutinous rice flour for making rice dumpling. The rice dumpling is very soft and glutinous, which is much better than the glutinous rice flour sold in our supermarket. Thank you here!

Steps to make Black Sesame rice dumpling

  • 1. Place a flat bottomed non stick pan on the stove and stir fry the black sesame seeds until cooked
  • 2. After cooling, put it in the blender grinding cup
  • 3. Smash it
  • 4. Add white sugar and honey and mix well
  • 5. Make black sesame filling
  • 6. Weigh the Yuanxiao (Filled round balls made of glutinous rice-flour for Lantern Festival) powder, add some warm water and sit in a group for 10 minutes
  • 7. Take a small piece of dough and press it flat with your hand to wrap it in sesame seeds
  • 8. Wrap the sesame seed sink tightly and roundly, and one rice dumpling will be ready
  • 9. Make all rice dumpling in turn
