Stewed Tofu with Cabbage
As the saying goes, cabbage and tofu are safe. In winter, the most common and ordinary Chinese cabbage is actually the healthiest vegetable. Cabbage contains abundant dietary fiber, which can stabilize the gut microbiota, promote digestion, and help with bowel movements. Cabbage has a mild nature and is rich in water, which can alleviate symptoms such as dry mouth and throat, as well as restlessness and heat caused by deficiency of yin fluid in the body.

Steps to make Stewed Tofu with Cabbage

  • 1. Ingredients: Wash and cut cabbage into sections, cut tofu into small cubes, and slice scallions, ginger, and garlic.
  • 2. Pour oil into the wok and stir fry with spicy sauce until fragrant.
  • 3. Stir fry with scallions, ginger, and garlic until fragrant.
  • 4. Stir fry the cabbage.
  • 5. Cook light soy sauce and stir fry until the cabbage collapses.
  • 6. Add water and tofu, bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and cover for a slow simmer. When the cabbage is a bit transparent, add salt to season, turn off the heat and set on a plate.
  • 7. Braised Tofu with Cabbage, my favorite.
