Steps to make Papaya and crucian carp soup
- 1. Remove the scales and internal organs of crucian carp, clean them thoroughly, and then wipe off any moisture with a kitchen tissue.
- 2. Wash the papaya, peel and seed it, then cut it into thick pieces with a knife.
- 3. Pour oil into the pot and cook until 70% hot, then add the crucian carp and fry until both sides turn slightly yellow.
- 4. Pour in boiling water and cook over high heat until it boils again.
- 5. Carefully transfer the fish and soup into the sand pot, then add ginger slices and papaya.
- 6. Turn down the heat, cover the lid and simmer for 1 hour. Season with salt before consumption.
