Roujiamo is a popular snack among the people in the northwest region of China, mainly consisting of "braised Roujiamo" (pork) from Shaanxi and "lamb Roujiamo" from Ningxia. Laozhi Roujiamo is a famous snack in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province. Many people have made Roujiamo before, of course, each family's recipe is different, but it's all about one "delicious" dish. Steps to make Family version of Roujiamo
- 1. Put yeast, vegetable oil, and flour into a bowl, pour in warm water, and use chopsticks to stir the flour into snowflake like fragments.
- 2. Knead it into a smooth dough by hand, cover it with plastic wrap or a damp cloth, and let it ferment at warm room temperature until it doubles in size.
